Soldiers Of Misfortune
Parasite Lost was my first installment in the Soldiers of Misfortune series that gave birth to what I call “cyberpulp”. It uses the ‘high tech, low life’ themes of cyberpunk while adding pulpy, down to earth characters and situations.
Parasite Lost
Dante Opulen, a multi-billionaire holo-film star, and war veteran is being blackmailed by his father, Sirus. A parasitic outbreak threatens to turn an entire planet into bloodthirsty mutants and Sirus’ company is responsible. With the help of a convict, a pyromaniac and an ex-cop, Dante must find a cure for the outbreak and return it to his father.
What Dante doesn’t know is that each member of his team wants to find the cure as well, and some may be willing to kill him for it.
